ICRA class and whether the facility stays open are the two things that most affect the number.

We reply the same day, usually within a couple of hours.

How it works

Construction cleaning in a live facility

Most healthcare construction happens inside a building that never closes. That changes the job more than the finishes do.

Patient areas

  • Patient rooms and bathrooms
  • Exam and treatment rooms
  • Nurse stations and charting
  • Corridors and waiting areas
  • Casework, millwork, headwalls

Clinical support

  • Clean and soiled utility
  • Med rooms and storage
  • Lab and imaging spaces
  • Sterile processing support areas

Barriers and containment

  • Work inside ICRA containment
  • Barrier wipe down and removal support
  • Negative pressure area protocol
  • HEPA vacuum throughout

Documentation

  • Daily sign in and out
  • Photo documentation per area
  • Closeout package for the GC
  • Badge and escort compliance

The controlling factor in healthcare construction cleaning is infection control risk assessment. ICRA classifications determine how a space is separated from occupied areas, how workers move in and out, and what equipment is allowed. On Class III and IV work that means HEPA filtration, sealed containment, and crews who understand not to prop a barrier door open because it is convenient.

We clean to the ICRA plan the general contractor and the facility have agreed. We do not write the plan and we do not vary from it. Where a healthcare facility has its own environmental services standards, we work to those instead of ours, since your staff already know them and consistency matters more than our preferences.

Boundaries

What we do and do not handle

We handle construction cleaning: dust removal, surface cleaning, detail work on finishes and casework, glass, fixtures and floors. We do not handle terminal disinfection to clinical standard, regulated medical waste, or anything inside a sterile processing workflow. Those belong to the facility environmental services team or a specialist contractor, and the handoff between construction clean and clinical clean should be defined in writing before we start.

Rough clean

  • From $0.40 per sq ft

Final clean

  • From $0.50 per sq ft

Inside containment

  • Priced by area and ICRA class

Excluded

  • Terminal disinfection
  • Regulated medical waste
  • Sterile processing areas
Questions

What people ask

Do you work inside ICRA containment?

Yes, to the plan the general contractor and facility have agreed. We clean to that plan rather than writing our own, using HEPA filtration and following the containment and traffic protocol as specified.

Can you work while the facility is occupied?

That is the normal case in healthcare. Work gets phased around clinical operations, often overnight or on defined shifts, with containment maintained throughout.

Do you handle terminal disinfection?

No. That is clinical work belonging to the facility environmental services team. We do construction cleaning, and the handoff between our work and clinical cleaning should be defined in writing before the job starts.

What about regulated medical waste?

Not handled by us. That requires a licensed medical waste contractor. We do not move, empty or transport sharps containers or regulated waste.

How is healthcare priced against standard commercial?

Higher, typically 20 to 40 percent above standard post-construction. Containment protocol, HEPA equipment, restricted access, escort requirements and phased scheduling all reduce productive hours per shift.

Recent work

SkinSpirit at Nordstrom, NorthPark Center

A medical aesthetic practice inside Nordstrom at NorthPark Center in Dallas, delivered for a national facility contractor across three phases in four days.

Phase one was the post-construction clean while trades were still finishing the retail wall. Phase two was a general clean after the following day's work. Phase three was the final detail before opening.

Access was through the Nordstrom loading dock after store hours, with crews routed through the closed sales floor to reach the suite. Every visit was checked in and out through the contractor's own system, with before and after photography uploaded to their vendor portal inside a three day closeout window.

Who we are

A commercial cleaning contractor, not a franchise

Neatwick works with general contractors, facility managers and business owners on cleaning that has a deadline attached. Most of what we do is either the final clean before a space opens or the recurring service once it has.

We are not a franchise and there is no call centre. You deal with the same person from quote to invoice. We maintain crews across 24 metros and carry our own insurance on every job, so the standard does not change depending on which market you are in.

Pricing is by the job with the hours stated, not by the hour. Hourly pricing rewards working slowly. Fixed scope rewards showing up and finishing properly, and it means you know the number before anyone starts.
